You’d be surprised to know that I’m an architect, and my students are the foundation on which I’m building our country’s future. Every teacher is a fantastic sculptor, and architect after that she is a guide and educator. She had started from scratch and shaped the child so that they are future ready. To educate a child about the subject and the teacher’s duty is over, No, a teacher had to play the role of a child’s second mother. She molds a child, she builds a child for the future.

I’m here to share a few tips on how to establish a student-teacher relationship.

1. Care and Share

I was amazed one day to see my student gesture and care for me. They were doing everything they could to lighten my load because I wasn’t feeling well. Maintaining classroom silence. Keeping their belongings in the proper location without causing me any discomfort because they noticed that I was ill. I do the same thing. If a student is ill, I inquire if he or she has taken medicine or eaten lunch. Students are innocent; the environment you establish in your classroom will be reflected in your students.

2. There is a fine line between being friendly and becoming a friend

As teachers, we must be nice with our students so that they do not feel obligated to discuss anything with us. However, please draw a line between friendly and friend.

3. Connecting the concepts to the child’s socio-cultural background

Explain to them that we live in a country with various religions and cultures.We should be proud of ourselves. As a result, we should be inclusive in this as well. We must appreciate one another’s cultures and backgrounds.

4. Develop social Emotional Learning

Facilitate positive classroom interaction as a teacher. As well as drawing their self-reflection ( scribble, art). Consider meaningful comments from students ( put open ended questions, think-pair-share). This will provide you with plenty of information about the students.

5. Brain break

Allow students to take brain breaks. This provides children with energy and focus. You can achieve this in a variety of ways. Assume you’re in a science class, and your brain break activity is to discuss a math problem or an English poetry. This is done to break up the monotony of constant study. This will renew the psyche of the child.

6. Observe and Do

Doing what the teacher expects of students so that children can learn the rules through modeling behavior.

7. Let them decide the rules and the consequences

Allow them to create their own class rules and select what consequences they will face if they do not follow them. Students will be more cautious because they are the ones who created it. They will consider it further.

8. Giving the opportunity to express their thoughts, views and experiences without being judged.

Always keep the youngster in mind. Demonstrate that you are always available to them. There is no right or wrong; it all depends on the individual and his circumstances. Give an example of how you handled a difficult problem in your life. Give them the opportunity to express themselves. As you have experience, assist and guide them. Demonstrate to them that you are always willing to talk. They can present their points of view to you.

9. Easily reachable

If your child has a problem in class, make it clear that you are always available. He does not need to wait for any formalities. He/she can readily contact you. Make it clear to your student that he or she is your first focus. In a nutshell, if you’re looking for a good time, here is the place to be.

10. Family time

Reach out to their parents. Send weekly notifications. Keep in touch with the parents to get to know your child better.

11. Listen! Listen!

Listen to your students from time to time. You will learn more about their nature and conduct. Keep a close eye on things.

12. Dedicate 1 minute to each

Students will occasionally seek your attention. Spend one minute per day with each student. Please keep this up for at least 15 days. And make a note of what you discovered. You will be surprised to learn about your students’ abilities. You can allot time to the students, morning meet and afternoon meet as per the number of students.
