Rooted in a legacy that began in 1945, the Jaipuria Group’s journey commenced with the establishment of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Commerce College in Calcutta—an institution founded on the visionary belief that education is the cornerstone of a progressive nation. Inaugurated by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the college continues to inspire generations to this day.
The Group’s commitment to shaping young minds deepened in 1974 with its foray into K–12 education through the founding of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School in Kanpur. The school’s foundation stone was laid by then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi and inaugurated by former President of India, Sh. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed—marking a defining moment in the Group’s educational journey.
From these historic beginnings, the Jaipuria Group has evolved into a dynamic and trusted education conglomerate. Today, its presence spans a diverse ecosystem of K–12 schools, management institutions, preschools, and a dedicated teachers’ training academy—each united by a singular purpose: nurturing excellence, integrity, and lifelong learning.
The history of the Jaipuria Group goes back to 1945 when Seth Anandram Jaipuria Commerce
College was launched in Calcutta with the vision to empower India’s youth with quality
education. The college was inaugurated by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and is operational to this day.
In 1974, the group forayed into K12 education with the inception of Seth Anandram Jaipuria
School in Kanpur. Then Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi laid the school’s foundation stone
and former President of India, Sh. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed inaugurated the school. Over the
years, the group has grown and expanded by leaps and bounds to evolve into a conglomerate
with the strength of many K12 schools, management institutions, preschools and a teachers
training academy.
