Not every sport makes the headlines. But every sport demands the same thing — hundreds of hours of practice, the kind of mental toughness that only competition builds, and a young person who chooses to show up when it would be easier not to.
Ipsaa Kapoor of Class VIII-D did all of that — and walked away with Gold at the 1st Sub Junior U.P. State Inter Divisional Roll Ball Championship 2026, held at Columbia Convent Institute, Ghaziabad, from May 1 to 3.
Roll Ball is a sport that demands speed, coordination, agility, and team awareness — played on roller skates, combining the athleticism of skating with the strategy of a contact sport. To compete at state level as a sub-junior is already a mark of serious dedication. To finish first is something else entirely.
At Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, we believe in making room for every sport, every talent, every kind of excellence. Because champions are not made on the most popular courts — they are made wherever a young person finds their sport and refuses to let go of it.
Congratulations, Ipsaa. The podium was yours.
